ABOUT 'THE BURFIELD' Surrounded by magnificent panoramic mountain views, The Burfield (formerly Sun Peaks Hostel), is Sun Peaks newest multi style accommodation. Situated in a tranquil residential area, located directly across from the Burfield Chairlift and only a 25 minute walk away from the village, restaurants and nightlife. A Stylish 360 degree mountain access accommodation designed and inspired to embrace the vibrant landscape that surrounds. All guests have access to our dedicated ski/wet room with lockers, ski storage and security. Dedicated laundry room for long term guests and in-suite laundry for the private suites. BUSINESS DETAILS The “Burfield” development is constructed as a four-story structure with a 4-stop elevator, built on a concrete foundation and concrete slab. The building contains 34 total accommodation units (including one manager’s suite and one suite currently owner occupied) with a unique mix of designs relative to the more traditional hotel units found within Sun Peaks. The building has a full basement (partly below grade) with a secured parking garage, laundry rooms, mechanical and electrical rooms, and a large ski storage room with lockers, benches, and storage racks. The main floor comprises a main entry vestibule/front reception desk, common recreation room/lounge with a wall-mounted fireplace and adjacent common 2-piece washroom, a private use kitchen and adjacent storage room, common games room, and rental units of varying design. The second and third floors comprise 13 and 12 total accommodation units respectively, with varied designs. An inventory of the unit mix is shown above. The building is under construction and nearing completion. Virtually all of the units are complete with only a collection of minor finishing remaining. The second and third floors are currently opened for use, and the main floor is the only one not yet in operation. At inspection, the internet and TV service was in the process of being installed and will be fully operational shortly. The common areas are also near completion, with the most substantial remaining item to complete being the elevator, which is not yet fully functional.
